Vacation Re-Cap

We had so much fun and were so busy on our family vacation!
I'm sure that there are more pictures then these
(some I took with my phone and are on facebook and others...I'm not so sure about...)
Here's just a small recap of the fun we had:

Wednesday night (7th) we went to an Orem Owlz game with the Peterson family.
We were quite impressed with the staduim and had a lot of fun rooting for a team that we'll possibly never see again.
The boys loved getting their Owlz stocking hats --- it should be quite interesting when they begin wearing them this winter.

As we knew would happen, Thatcher did not want to sit and watch a baseball game. So Brook walked around with him for a bit and then I joined him.
We took the opportunity to take a picture with just him (doesn't happen too often)

Thatcher and Grandpa Peterson watching the game (this was extrememly short-lived)

Thursday (8th) we went with Paul & Aubrey and their kids up to Salt Lake and toured the Sweets Candy Factory. YUM!
They have their candy everywhere.
(In fact, if you shop at Sunflower Farmer's market, they carry their saltwater taffy --- the boys have enjoyed seeing that when we go to the store now)
They have a candy shop inside (naturally) and you can buy fresh candy --- it was difficult NOT to eat it all before we got home from vacation)

It just had to be done: a picture of us all with our hair nets (and Brook's beard net...) in front of the taffy wall.

After our candy tour we went to Moochies for lunch. YUM, again.
Then we went to see Brook's cousin who works at the church office building and take a tour of the observation floor.

The kids were checking out whose office was in the building...

We learned a lot of cool stuff about the valley ---things I (unfortunately) don't remember any more -- I just remember them being pretty neat.

Then we went and walked around Temple Square and enjoyed all the interactive things that the kids had only seen pictures of in the Friend or online.
When we were done at Temple Square we drove down south and spent our evening with our favorite family, the Tambasco's; where I took their family pictures (you can see some of it HERE)

Saturday was Taylor & Courtney's sealing but beforehand, we all met at The Cracker Barrell for brunch and just enjoyed being together as a family.

The siblings....

...the spouses....

Aubrey and her kids came back to Colorado for a week to visit with her in-laws and friends and the kids HAD to go to Casa Bonita ---

---at least we only got a picture of the kids eating the sopapillas (and not the yucky other food)
Max was still set on NOT going into the caves.

We had such a great vacation.
Were unable to see all our friends that we wanted to see,
so I guess that we'll have to make another trip out soon --- hopefully not too far in the future.
